I am developing a directory for my local area, Vancouver Computer Stores and Services What should I do next, add more listings, add descriptions, add reviews, add ads?? The main benefit this has is that I manage it personally, so its' not automated, does not have dead links, random parked pages, random "stores" that are located nowhere, etc. This are all quality listings that have been in business 4/5 years minimum.
Your sie looks good, and your work shows through, I think your already doing all of the right things and just continue to improve one small step at a time. Yes for more listings if there are some, yes for advertising ( from those listing owners ) this would include their specials and yes maybe a small wite up on those stores etc would be fine as this would give you a lead in to offering them advertising through your personal contact, don't push it on them but quietly let them know that advertising is available for listed entries etc and i think you will do quite well. nice to see some good people out there quietly working away. well done
