I'm a musician and looking to use Youtube to promote myself, I was wondering if anyone has used Youtube as a means of advertising and if you can share any tips, like how do you get people to view your videos?
Some of these tips are obvious but actually put them into use and you'll be laughing: -Proper watermarks over whole video if you want to promote your website. Clear but not instrusive is the key. -Catchy descriptive titles. Choose something that would make you want to watch it. -Good Descriptions, filled with keywords. -Maximum Keywords, these are there to be used to put as many keywords as youtube will let you. Good luck.
Here is what need. Visit this url http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=902937 It do everything you automatically
Thanks, I'm doing those. If you put keywords in the description will it count for searches, or does it only look at the tags/title? Any other ideas?
subscribers is your only worry mate..Keep fresh vids at least monthly (weekly if poss) and keep subscribers happy! more subscribers = more youtube power!
Read this thread. I have been using youtube for the past year and a half to promote my sites - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=837600 Youtube can be a powerful outlet for creative website owners. So far I have over 280 videos, with over 1.5 million views. Youtube is the second top refer to my site, right behind google. And here is another link for youtube and google traffic compared - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=837948 Those links should answer your questions.
I am learning to play the guitar and I constantly see people playing fairly popular songs and instructing how to play them on YouTube. Perhaps this would be a good way to get people to your website from YouTube.
