I wouldn't mind that much if they just suspended my account and that means I couldn't submit until I get the issue resolved. But they actually took down all of my articles (130 I think) ... So if someone goes to those articles URL it just says "removed" --- That's really unfortunate - I don't think it's cool that they do that. Why remove all of the old articles? I understand suspending new submissions - but removing the old ones just seems like a jerk move to me. Especially considering the reason the account was suspended - They didn't like some of the new article names I created. Basically I've been using an initial in my article names to make them easier to track (on Google Alerts) well I made the mistake of using two middle initials. Which they apparently don't allow. I didn't think it'd be a problem I mean... George H.W. Bush .. he has two middle initials and he was President! I figure it should be allowable for author names. Anyway - It's a real bummer - hopefully they'll get it cleared up soon - but it's so late today it probably won't be at least until tomorrow. Lame.
Wow , that really sucks. I didn't realize that they would take everything down for such a petty thing. I don't think adding two initials is worthy of a suspension either and a warning would have sufficed. In fact I didn't even know that you weren't allowed to do that.
I noticed they're actually getting more anal than usual. I just had another article rejected today because I'm not allowed to link an affiliate link or redirect from a subdirectory. I wasn't doing either and it was going to a landing page that I submitted an article for once day for the last two weeks. Those were all accepted of course.
I got suspended recently too. I hate when reviewers say that I am promoting a product in my article body.
If they don't smarten up with the analness, I'm just going to reduce the number of articles I submit to them.
No doubt. I got that "error" on one of my articles. And even worse I got about 5 articles flagged for "general error" what the hell does that mean? It's so frustrating because they seem to flag articles almost at random.
Glad you got your account back online. That would of been very unfortunate. Ezine is a great site but the mods are questionable at times
They do seem to be a bit on edge lately, they rejected one of my articles but I was sure there was nothing wrong with it so I resubmitted without changing a thing and they accepted it........go figure!
I did the same thing and it was immediately rejected. I'm currently waiting for email responses for three articles now. It's frustrating because I've written over 700 articles. I know what is acceptable and what isn't.
Those new Ezine reviewers really annoy me. Why I have to pay for their stupid mistakes? They disapprove my articles, then suspend my account, wtf? I need to get a job on Ezine, lol
Don't worry. This is what my article marketing experiment is for. If it ever becomes necessary the boycott of EzineArticles can start lol. I'm just waiting to get my friggin email(hopefully tomorrow). If they give me some pissy excuse, the slow boycott beings. *slow. as in I'll reduce my articles. I don't want to completely destroy my income.
They should not have taken you down, they should have wrote you an email stating why your going to get removed if you didn't change them!! Idiots to do such a thing Anyways I'm glad it all was sorted out for you.
The problem is that I am ready to submit hundreds of articles to Ezine, but they stop me doing so, by disapproving my articles for some crappy reasons. That's what makes me angry. I like Ezine, but I just don't like their reviewers....
Argh. They are disapproving articles for silly reasons (often just saying "general error") right and left. It's getting extremely frustrating.
