MySpace Low "Friend ID" Accounts

If you open up a new MySpace account now you will get a Friend ID number somewhere in the 391.000.000 range and counting.

Now lets say someone has a very low Friend ID, we are talking about xxxx range (Toms own Friend ID is 6221), for example 8527 or maybe even a Friend ID lower then Toms (for example 5711). What would something like that be worth and who (like which companies, people etc) would be interested in such a thing?

I get the impression that the value of a 'MySpace Friend ID' is somewhere between pennies to nil.

I don't think anyone cares about it tbh it's really just a bragging thing but other people would be like meh there may be some who would pay for a low ID but it's a very small market

The only ID that may have a small value would be 1

Actually, there's a pretty brisk business in old friend ID's, but it is against Myspace TOS and that of DP to sell them here.

Spammers like them because they get less scrutiny.

I have seen a few people really wanting them.
But I know Myspace doesn't like people to have them for some reason...

Rumor has it that older accounts (friend ID's below 60 million) don't have the same restrictions as newer accounts when it comes to commenting, messaging, etc. It's like they have gone through a probation period.

So the value would be if you find someone who likes to spam Myspace. They are the only ones willing to pay a premium for such an account.

Yeah I know someone who knows someone who works for MySpace (lol) and he said that friend ID's in the xxxx are very popular among hackers and phishers and that people are trying to hack them all the time (without succes btw). So it must definitely be worth something if people are trying to go through so much trouble to gain acces.

For a while (until such deals were banned), every other "scam" thread here was over MySpace account sales. Not only do they mean to exploit MySpace, many of the account traders were out to scam each other.

Be careful of who you do business with and don't be surprised at chargebacks, stolen cc, phished paypal, etc.

But I guess go ahead if you have no use for it. Eventually, they'll delete them all.

MySpace is a dead business, spammed over and again.

Imo it's still a source of free advertising:p target people you would like to sell to and add them all then comment on each of them it takes ages but it's free:p(except "cost of time" ofc)

Can't really see any value in an ID that is low - most people who visit MySpace etc don't care what it is and its just another number in the URL.

    Only my opinions!
