Submitting the same article to various sites..

Hmm, let's say I submit an article to ezinearticles, and it gets approved. Can I submit this same article to other sites (goarticles, etc.)? Would I have to change things around? or can I just change the title of the article?

There is not a law limiting you from submitting your article to as many sites as you want, in fact most marketers use article submitters to post to multiple sites with just one click.

One problem Ezines and article sites may have is if your content is not original.

It's better if you change your articles a little bit so that it will not be considered as "duplicate content" by Google.

It depends on what you want accomplished. If you submit to multiple sites it's better for getting backlinks, obviously... if you want the article to rank in google, then ezinearticles is enough.

I think, if you change the title and first 160 characters, then you should be fine.

That's basically, what shows up in Google search results ;)

Uhmm no, not really, lol. You have to change like 30% of the content.

Thanks for the replies and advice. :D

Thanks for the advice. :) For this particular case, I'd want my article on ezinearticles to rank high, so I guess I'll just leave it at ezinearticles.

If I just want the backlinks, then I know what to do now.

Does Google see an article that is picked up by several directories as duplicate content?

The reason I asked, I did a title search for one of my article and found it on 70+ websites.

Some of the sites they were on removed my links…two of them removed both my link and name (author’s name).

Okay cool. Try running your article, once it's accepted that is, through something like onlywire.com...

That's an instant 20 backlinks which will boost your rankings and you'll get indexed really quickly.

And yes, duplicate content is duplicate content. If two or more sites contain the exact same conten google will only list one site in the search engine. The page with the most backlinks win.

Also, NEVER EVER publish the same exact article on your own site twice. Having internal duplicate content, meaning the same content on two different pages of the same website, that means the DEATH of your site, you'll get banned by Google like that.

onlywire is not as effective as it used to be, nowadays it only does a few
of the sites out of the 20 try socialmarker.com instead
