Hi all, I have been thinking about one idea sometime before... About the <meta> tags, I only talks about the "description" & "keywords". I think the "keywords" is very important. "description" is of nothing importance. Anyone have thought about it?
As per me both are important but you can give weightage to keywords. If you want to know more go and read blog- mattcutt blog, googlegenie blog and others blog related to meta tag.
Google is clear that it does NOT use the description meta tag to index your pages this is based on your keywords meta tag and the keywords you use in your main content. Keyword meta tag is not of any importance. Because it is not use by Google. But you cud still use it to provide some weightage of your keywords in your page. I wanna tell u that you shud include meta description tag relevant to your title tag. But it does not mean that ur description tag always used by google. If google finds that ur description is not relevant to ur keyword term then it wud create description automatically from ur page. So sometime it works and some time not. So u shud use it in proper manner.............
<meta> tags are used to display your site's information, it is the first one to appear in a SE searches.....it dispalys the meta's such as title, description and KW....
