    Yet, we know that Google doesn't have a partnership with Mozilla because you can set up a Google Search on your site too, and get money from the ads displayed.

    Google is Firefox's biggest sponsor, so... they have some influence over the browser, no doubt about that.

    google does have a partnership with mozilla, in fact they are almost neighbors in Mountain View(California), mozilla gets several hundred million $ from google in development support donations every year

    NO. Mozilla oundation is not profit but Mozilla corporation isnt. Google is closely affiliated with Mozilla and thereby supporting FF. One of the reason is to kick off dominance of IE.
