I am having two different sites with different niches.One site is getting more than 1k traffic.The other gets only less than 100. But the site that gets 100 earns more than the first. From this I understand that if you want to earn more from adsense u need to find the suitable niche that pays better.
traffic doesnt always convert to dollars in same proportion. it not only depends on your niche, but also on several other factors. like what type of site it is (website/blog/forum, etc), where your traffic come from (search engine or stumble upon), how well your ads are positions and blended in, etc
Indeed, it has to be a high paying topic and also there must be relevant ads displayed on the page. Ad units' placement and how targeted the traffic is are also important for increasing the revenue.
I think, it also depends on type of keywords. For example, if you have a site related to stock, bank, security,... you may get higher from GA.

Agreed with everybody but the OP. You can't just rely on high paying niches, because those are usually pretty saturated.
