Logo Contest - $25 via PayPal, $15 to runner-ups if any

another try, different font, colors....

A-Q – honestly I like the colors in the first submission more. I still love your speedometer effect, but the rest (colors and font) is doing not so well. Thanks for your effort.

IM3D - really not bad for the first try. But I don't think that that particular green color suits the design well. The font is ok. The book element looks fine but nothing special and original. Thanks a lot for your submission. If you think of anything different than what has already been proposed, be my guest.

Cameljourney - these colors in my opinion are better than those in the first submission. however, something seems to be over the edge. no crazy about the clocked 'O' in these submissions. actually your first submission is sharper than these 3. i don't know if that is the elements or too many effects that make it seem a bit hard to look at. the font is not bad, but something in the colors and the elements does not align well with what I am looking for. i appreciate your prompt submissions and thanks for staying on.

hanidesigns - you're heading the right way! i love #3 ... could you make a small change by making the word 'Speed' slightly Italic (but not too much though) and for another version try the word 'Your' in Italic as well. If you could submit these 2 versions, I will say which one I will go with. Thanks.

Cameljourney - you are making this harder for me to decide. your first design of the last 2 submissions (blue, green) is very sharp and to the point. this one is definitely now competing with the other one i am awaiting from hanidesigns.
I will be announcing one winner these days.

I'm not the decision maker, but IMO, i will go with cameljourney's with the uniqueness of the "reading man" , hanidesign's good also, but the "arrow inside the head and head inside the circle" is too plain and just too usual concept for me...

I'm not too crazy with ur opinion, seavadra. All designer here trying hard to make their best, u should appreciate their work.
It would be better if u not just running up your post count here, try posting somewhere else, or maybe another forum, not here in this thread...

 

Pretty much every design in this contest has been taken from somewhere and used. I don't now how these people can be labelled as talented designers. CamelJourney - The Book, fireball and person are all not yours quite evidently. It doesn't seem that the contest holder is paying much attention to this. Wouldn't surprise me if this contest went for another month. hanidesigns - I am pretty sure you didn't make that head and yours and CamelJourney's font are pretty similar except for the gradients etc.

Yeah, maybe u can find somethin look similiar of each single element (book, fireball, etc) in my design on elsewhere. But the one in my logo is element that i have right to use it. No Copyright Issue.

And u Should know that logo is not per single element. It's a whole concept (element, fonts, colors, how you combine it, idea, etc). My font and hanidesign's font is the font that you can find in a lot of people's PC around the world.

Maybe me, hanidesigns, or probably other designer didn't hand-draw the element, maybe some of the other does. It's just a matter of different designing-style and approach.

At the end, it would be back to the contest holder to decide.

I appreciate all the comments, suggestions, remarks and most of all the submissions made by Cameljourney and hanidesigns.

to others: the contest has been running for 4 days by now. Also, yes, it maybe so that they did not create the elements themselves but what matters for me as a contest holder here is their ability to create, combine, tweak and twist.

Cameljourne and hanidesigns, there is nothing more I can add or ask for because I think you both did a great job. But as I announced earlier there will be only one winner and potentially a runner-up. I will be making this decision shortly.

Any final entries are welcome, although I know it will be very hard to compete with these two. But I guess anything is possible as it is a contest and anyone can challenge one another the last minute.

 

Cameljournej - of all versions I like best #44 with the "Speed" Italic. Could you please make '.com' a part of 'i' in the word "reading" .. like in #49 by hanidesigns?

I just want to compare these two. thanks.

 

Cameljourney - and two more things; is it possible to try to use the same colors (green and blue), the font (if possible) and the shiny effect as in #49, 2 by hanidesigns. And another thing is it possible to make a 'S' in the word 'Speed' out of that flying man? In other words 'S' is a the man. Can you try a bit of more creativity here? Thanks.
