Hi people, what do you thing about Ad Blockers usage in popular browsers? Does it affect Adsense incomes in positive or negative way? There are more people who are blocking ads today, or this amount is more or less constant?

Situation about ad blockers are getting worse and thats inevitable...

By default, adsense is not blocked by AdblockPlus, (most famous blocker fo Firefox) but with one click, user will never see any adsense again... :(

I feel this same. And more pop up ads which attacks people while browsing, pushing them to disable everything. I think this is the most important reason which damages whole ad market.

I think that more and more people are using ad blockers, yes. However, I don't think that's the whole picture..

As total said, you have to choose to block Adsense with AdblockPlus. Those who choose to do so are probably not going to click any ads anyway. If it becomes the default settings then it might be more of a problem.

This question is often asked, along with threads like "adsense is dead" etc.. I don't think that's true at all. Those who argue that Adsense is dead somehow think that adblockers keep on evolving, and that those who serve ads do not. Surely, Google has a bunch of very smart guys working on ad serving related issues 24/7, and they'll come up with new and improved stuff as this process continues.

If someone figures out how to block a script, then someone else will figure out some other way of doing things. It's the way of the world, things are continually adapting and evolving.

Endurance is important. The economy is a bit slow nowadays, there may be some ad fatigue and new ad blockers are popping up. So what? If you're going through hell, keep going. :D

I totally agree with the previous poster that said people who use ad blockers are unlikely to click advertisements anyways. Hopefully the situation does not get any worse though.

Well we can only hope most people don't use them as I know a few people who use them.

I haven't added adsense to my sites, but I dont think this will effect me much because, the visitors I target are most likely not the web smart people.

Those are the ones who alway seem to be bleeding edge because a pop up told them to upgrade, or that they needed the newest plugin to get free money from Bill Gates.

Adblock is for pussies anyways, but that pussies could make you some cash if they would click on your ads.
