Does this mean we can download the full script for free? Where is the free download link?

It clearly shows how uneducated you are if you really have to ask the question. I live in Scotland. Gary lives in Spain. Ask the mods to take a look at our IP's, if you really wish.

Now, let's pretend Simon's not paying you $0.01 per post you make here. Congrats, took you almost 2 years to make a dollar. Keep up the good work, preferably out of this thread.

Because he's banned, now do everyone a favour, stop trolling, and please stop hijacking the thread. It makes both you and the script your clearly representing look very desperate indeed.

Unfortunately this only means the full version of the script is available in a decoded format now - in essence, it means the scripts source files are now in plain text, whereas previously they were completely encrypted to ensure the security of the script.

What do you mean by that Jeffrey? The full version is just that, it offers things like deeplinks mod already built in, it allows you to do many things the free version won't.

Why not compare the features here Features

Well I took the plunge and got the full uncoded version of the script.

Installed with no problems at all on my test server, already got some ideas for little tweaks which I want to do to the script.

A Great package has just got better in my mind.

    Thanks

Thanks Swedal, its nice to see a positive comment on here after all the calls we had to open the code. Now I'm taking the reigns hopefully this will be just the beginning and we will be taking the script in the direction it the directory industry needs.

I'm hoping some of the better members here now take advantage of this chance and work with us on making the directory industry something we can be proud of again. :)

    Isn't the free version unencoded?

No, as far as I can tell this is a new version of the script, ie you can still purchase the full version encoded, or you can purchase the full version unencoded.

I believe it is aimed more at the developers and for the people who like to play around with the code and tweak it to their needs.

    Thanks

    Ah ok.

Jamie mentioned sending me over a copy of the script so that I can peer into the code for MODding purposes. I'll wait for Jamie's response.

It was a hard call to make regarding keeping the free script coded but felt due to the abuse of other scripts had no choice. Sending you a p.m as we speak as I'm good to my word.

    Brian,

I'm glad you are impressed with some of the features - we believe in giving value for money and phpLynx does exactly that.

    Thanks.

Is there a big difference in the way the templates are coded between the free version and full version?

    Hi.

No, not at all. There are some noticeable differences in the code due to the available features - though you can just as easily code a template which will work on both versions using some smart smarty code;)

I'd expect a few more free templates for both versions to appear later this week if you are worried about coding your own template.

    Thanks
