Israeli officials wanted in Spain

Israel's foreign ministry has ordered several Israeli officials not to travel to Europe as they are wanted for 'committing war crimes'.

Arrest warrants have been issued against the Israeli officials over their involvement in the assassination of Salah Shehade, a senior Hamas member. Sixteen Palestinians were killed in "the targeted-assassination operation" six years ago.

Former war minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, former army chief of staff Lieutenant-General Moshe Yaalon, former Shin Bet director Avi Dichter, former Israel air force commander Dan Halutz, former head of the military operation branch Major-General Giora Eiland, former southern command chief Doron Almog and former prime minister Ariel Sharon are on the list of the fugitives, Ynetnews reported.

The lawsuit against the Israeli officials was filed by a Spanish human rights organization last week.

As a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Spain has passed a law which allows war crime lawsuits to be filed within its borders.

ICC members have the universal judicial authority to try suspected war criminals even if their activities have nothing to do with that particular country.

Criminals need to be brought to justice (both sides). The same applies to the other side, but targeted assassinations is not the answer.

There is no way that they get convicted in any way.

Follow it up and you will see what Israel has to say about it. There was a reason why that happened.

I'm surprised that human rights groups don't see terrorists as criminals though.

They will get a taste of Israels fighting spirit which has kept them alive.

And it's simply because Israel defends their terrorists. In every other country, ,including US and UK, they would get convicted.

Where did you get that info? Source?

Old Europe - The Last Bastion of Resistance against Oppression. Human Rights are upheld in Europe, regardless of the human's "race" or "colour of skin". These israeli criminals have to be punished.

what part you did not like? that picture of your terrorist prime minister? he was wanted internationally, and this picture was not published in some Arabian newspaper.

or Golda Meir? who admired Dado Elazar, the Israeli Chief of Staff, who decided to shot down a civilian Libyan airplane without a warning?

so tell me which part in my post, which I quoted from that site, was not true, and I will be glad to give you more info about it, from unbiased sources.

if you did not like calling them "terrorists" what else can they be called, those who issue a decision to kill civilians, on purpose, and later praise their killers?

There is a lot of racism in israel, directed against Shepardic Jews, who have brown skin just like Arabs, and they happen to be the real semites.

    This is shameful.
