I've got a site that originally was a Canada based site with a .com ext before the domain was bought by us and made into the current site. There is also the .ca, which is now a 301 redirect. Are their other circumstances (besides Google.com being waaay more competitive), for a site to have tons of great listings in all the international Googles, but not in the .com? I don't think it's really relevant. I'm just looking for a discussion on the topic really. For instance, maybe people have had the same experience when they've had .ca backlinks (show up in all the other intl googles, but not in google.com)?
Because your backlinks are from that specific geographial area, common sense would dictate if majority of the backlinks are from *.ca maybe it should be ranked better in that geographical area.
So then what dictates the rest of the international extensions? Are you saying that google either gives you .com or all the rest? I was also using the same tool today. I am based in the uk and rank on the 4th page but showing on second and first page for other international google sites. As suggested, it might have something to do with where your links are coming from.
