Digital Point FireFox Plugin / Addon...

For the last couple weeks I have been having a problem with my DP messages.

I have been designing logos, headers, web designs, etc for clients here on DP and it always seems that each day I do not gain a client because I have missed their private message on DP by browsing through the internet and blogs.

If this is happening to me I know this is happening to more people also.

I think some of the programmers and developers on DP should create a FireFox plugin / addon such as Google's Gmail Notifier which you could be automatically log you into the forum when you opened your browser and would notify you when you have a new private message.

Now I want to know what everyone thinks about my idea? I am sorry if my thoughts and this thread are kind of jumbled I am on pain medication for my wreck Friday but I think it will make enough sense to everyone...

    1. Click the little radio box when you sign in and you won't have to relogin.
    2. Enable emails when you get a PM along with a popup box.

You can also use msn messenger; whenever you get an email popup from DP you know you have a PM waiting.

    1. Well this doesn't work for me due to every time I close my browser I have the option that FireFox deletes my Cache and cookies. This is due to the fact that I do not want everyone being able to mess with my accounts on different sites.

    2. I know more than one person who would not like a new email in their inbox that alerts them of a new private message on Digital Point.

    3. MSN messenger is helpful but always ends up lagging out if you receive tons of messages daily. The notifier will stop notifying you of new messages and then 3-4 hours later you will get 100+ notifications which will cause your computer to crash due to the processing of each notify box.

Well this has never happened to me, do you have a bad computer? so you're saying you get more than 100 PMs daily?

So you want someone to design a firefox plugin just for you because of the fact you delete your cookies?

Just depends on the day and how many clients I talk to... Sometimes I receive 2-3 pm's daily and some times over 100. Just depends on how much motivation I have for the day. No I do not have a bad computer. Its a 2006-2007 HP Pavilion a1630n.

No I was just saying it would be a neat idea and it could help people in the long run...

 you got a reason for everything

I dont think Many of us have a bad computer or having problems receiving notification emails in their Inbox

I dont think there is a need for Firefox Plugin/addon either coz most of us are happy with wat we are getting..

Why not pay someone and get the firefox addon done ?

No I don't have a reason for everything. I learn as I go...

Its not that people have bad computers... Its just would be easier to access.

Gmail could not have a notifier but someone came up with the idea to make it easier on everyone.

Time is money in the world of internet marketing.

While you are sitting on DP waiting for a response you could be marketing and advertising your sites.

Also you could be developing new sites in which you could make more profits.

Thats all I have to say. I am not going to argue with anyone else about the idea.

I was just saying it would be an easier way to access your inbox and be alerted of a new message.
