Defeating DP..

Hi, how can I beat DP Forum in terms of search
"digitalpoint"?
Some tips are welcomed.
The website is currently 1st page for that keyword in Google and Yahoo but placed under DP .Thanks

A better question is "why would you want to rank #1 for digitalpoint?" It gets a whopping 19 searches a day total according to SEO book. Just curious.

If you want to beat http://forums.digitalpoint.com, you'll need about 62,000 bl's to compete.

And that's just for starters...

 

Does not seem a point to it. If you insist on doing it, do as suggested above and get tons of back links that have digitalpoint as the anchor text.

 

create a "digitalpoint" or "digitalpoint-digitalpoint-digitalpoint-digitalpoint" as your sub-domain

 

heheh..so many good comments. I guess I'll try to submit to 100K directories first and buy signatures here on DP(around 1K signatures-can generate around 10K backlinks)..Rep+ anymore suggestions

Did you know, just for interest, that you can find this forum by simply searching for 'dp' in google.com? It comes up second. It saves me a lot of time, well okay a couple of seconds...

A new redirect site could have hard time to get indexed.

Dude, I say go for it. If you've got the time and the resources, trying to overtake a PR7 site in the search engines will be a good test of your SEO skillz...

well before this the blog had PR4 but dropped to 2. I guess PR does matter a bit but it also depends I guess.
SEO challenge? heheh.. I'll ask cheap seo service if he will help me with this challenge.

Why instead of defeating DP in "digitalpoint" keyword, why won't you spread the world "digitalpointing" since you top on it?
