Falling traffic? What niche? Maybe your SERP also go down. SEO is the thing that we must do frequently to maintain our SERP. Better SERP for better traffic.

What primarily counts are conversions - traffic is only one of different means to succeed. How do your business results develop?

SERP (search engine results page)- is the listing of web pages returned by a search engine in response to a keyword query. The results normally include a list of web pages with titles, a link to the page, and a short description showing where the keywords have matched content within the page. A SERP may refer to a single page of links returned, or to the set of all links returned for a search query.

To improve it, you must gather more backlinks.

Check why you have such a high bounce rate. Maybe the clue to your problem lies there.

Yes, you are right. I was also thinking about it. If you see the traffic screenshot again you will notice that traffic decreased from March 08.This is 30June 08 and I think now I should have more backlinks than March 08. Now some of my site links are also present on wikipedia.

That's why I started this thread.

Have you taken in to consideration the Trend of that particular niche, ie. is the trend in season. Once you have a full years worth of data, while constantly doing your best throughout that year doing SEO to your site, fetching links, creating articles and what not, you can get a feel of the seasonal trend.

Traffic is not as important as conversions, you could have 10 visitors a day to a site selling a $1,000 product and get one sale per week. But this is still infinetely better than a site with 4000 visitors a day generating $50 in advertising revenue. The key is to keep on working on your SEO optimisation and build backlinks through blogging, social bookmarking and article directories.

I've written a free resource for beginners, it majors of bloggers but is equally applicable for website owners. It includes how to anchor text correctly etc. The article is entitled Make Money Online From Blogging

I agree with you, conversions is much important than traffic. And if you want to generate revenue easily, you should try the PPC (pay per click) campaign . Advertising your site through PPC is much effective than SEO.

Traffic still remains the #1 problem faced by most online business today.

You need to find a balance between free and paid web traffic sources - doing so will definitely improve your ROI and profits online.

i agree, comment on all the related blogs you can to generate interest and traffic - if you dont have time to comment yourself you can probably hire someone to do it for you relatively cheaply
