You need to understand lawyers don't always work...I had a couple of domain stolen from me, and had some of the best lawyers in the US working for me, because of all my connections, and yet, I didn't recover one domain. It all depends on what the scammer does with it. If he sells it immediately, then you have basically no chance in getting it back...Which is what happened to me :( Oh well, but best of luck to you....You had a very catchy domain...My suggestion, use Escrow next time for transactions over $200...It keeps me safe...although people say to only use it for transactions over $500, I still use it for anything over $200 :)

if its proven its stolen you do get it back. Its a part of icann regulations. Its considered intellectual property. It doesnt matter how many hands it changes. Just as if someone stole you car and sold it, and sold it again. you can get it back. I hired a domain attorney. Doesnt matter if it changed hands 20 times. you cant legally sell stolen property, the person who bought it just loses the money and retains civil action.

Hi Godserve, I don't think webster is lying. In many cases even with all proof the scammer can still get away wither by selling it directly after scamming or transfering between registrars (especially in Godaddy cases)lol:D:)

Yea, thanks WebmasterTL....You should really think about what your saying before you say I am full of shit. I did have some of the best lawyers doing me a favor...And without actually taking it to court, they couldn't get PayPal, GoDaddy, or the Credit Card Company the scammer used to do anything. And of course I am not going to take something to court worth hundreds of dollars...

    Think before you talk!

I am very reputable here, so I don't appreciate you saying I am full of shit. Don't post something like that until YOU THINK!

Scammers dont hold the domains, the registrars do. There are guidelines to follow to be a registrar. My domains changes hands a few times. I just showed a receipt to get a domain back. The scammers also used domains byproxy. Like I said, you cant sell a domain that is not yours. As for godaddy, you have to contact the general counsel, you cant talk to the $14 dollar an hour customer support people. Also with a receipt you can get whats called a tro (temporary restraining order or injunction) which gives you back control. Godaddy has an internal who is which doesnt change for weeks...... I know this stuff because I did it,I actually got my stuff back.

SO I guess I need to think some more??

Well all the scammers who scammed me transferred them to other accounts before my lawyers could convince the godaddy lawyers they talked to to do anything....And after that it's downhill and you can't get 'em back without extreme measures....

I don't want to fight with you...I wouldn't lie, and I know anyone who I have dealt with can tell you the same...And I do know what I am talking about...

I don't think this thread is going anywhere, so I would appreciate if you could stop attacking me through posts! No one is standing up for you.....
