Hi, i have three, four websites in my basket to be optimised. all are newly obtained domains but are providing best services. 1 is articles website www.huntarticles.com and second is www.allcoolforum.com now please suggest me the better way for making it more visible in Google! all comments are welcome but must be with better idea!
1.write articles on press release distribution services. Like: www.free-press-release.com www.prweb.com www.ezinearticles.com 2. bookmarking service 3. write in your blogger and share with your friends. 4. Find a journalist... 5. anything else?

If you want t o be a success TODAY - what you need is just a UNIQUE IDEA or service never offered before. That is really it, pal!
Becoming popular and visible in the eye of Google is a long term process and it takes time and lot of hard work, so why don't you start today and stop dreaming, and about the news issue you could never rank over night in top 10 unless you really have a worthy news and it's hard to do unless you have a unique service not an article directory... however good luck but as an advice start building links today before it's too late
There ain't no shortcut. Your websites can become famous if your content is good and consistent. It takes time to build it up, just like any brick-mortar business. There are plenty of ways to get traffic. Learn Search Engine Optimisation. I had learnt it years ago. Google "Mike Banks Valentine". He is my Guru. He had a great collection of SEO articles a few years ago. I can't really find them now, but I may consider torrenting it.

You can also do PPC and get instant results in google. If I were you I would be patient and get organic results.

Yeah, it really does take time to build your business and reputation. The only fast way to get visitors is by PPC. But that also has it's limit depending on your budget. Err....I don't think going around e-mailing everyone to join your website will be such a good idea. Most will think of it as another spam and just ignore it.
