Hello everyone. I was just wondering... I just built a directory site and was wondering if I submitted my site to 1000 other directories if that would be a 1000 relevant links and give me good rankings or would I need to work on high PR backlinks still. Thanks in advance.
Think quality over quantities. You can get better results with a few quality links that you could with 1000 junk links.
I agree with cormac's point about getting a few quality links. However, I see no harm in getting 1000 (or more) directory links because they are easiest/cheapest to get and you can build some quality links along with these directory links anyway
quality does count, but it's always handy having a few thousand as they could turn out to be quality links in the future. Linking to other directory sites could provide you with some good links if they have a high pr rating and also the fact that they are in the same industry as yourself so give it a go.
