How many Domains are you CashParking Now ?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by antheus, Jun 28, 2008.

Just wondering if there are members here who are cashparking hundreds or thousands of domains ?
How many are you cash parking and where ?
I find GD cashparking CP very very slow when managing domains, adding keywords, changing headers.
Are the other casparking services faster ? Moniker, name, enom ...etc ?
    Thank you

I have over 100 at sedo, a bunch at parked and several at godaddy. None of them are worth it!

Would , let's say, $1 /month average per domain be a reasonable expectation when you have hundreds of domains cashparked ?

depends on the domain, which is true no matter what. Parked has the best interface, allowing you to edit the template. Also, here is a neat tip! You can put custom html in the footer of the sites, ie backlinks to your other sites! However, they require a 2 click to get any revenue and then they remove clicks and payments after they are there. so, parked is only good for backlinks. So far sedo is the best payer, but that is not saying much! I don't average 1.00 per domain, but then if its a great domain, I put my own content on it.

I have roughly 15 domains parked. I dont really care for the parking service just did it because I liked a domain.. purchased it but have no content to provide for it. Like tloosle said above... if I buy a really good domain that I like and have an idea behind it I will develop it as it has better long term effects.

    So
    1. If the domain is just registered , it will never bring traffic unless Typo occurs
    2. If the domain is a dropped domain it will have some backlinks but they will die later on.
    3. If you have a domain with some PR and good keyword and SERP, once parked it will lose PR and SERP
    4. It seems that Only a "smart" TYPO domain will bring traffic for ever !!!

Please correct me if I am wrong or I missed something

I dont have answers to all your questions but one I can comment on.

"1. If the domain is just registered , it will never bring traffic unless Typo occurs"

Like I said above I have a few domains parked on Sedo. They arent the best domains in the world and but I get clicks from time to time. Nothing special but last I checked im up to about 6 bucks in revenue. Im sure this is only because I used to have the URLs in my sigs. None the less they have generated money.

I own a small portfolio of domain names, most are currently parked at Sedo. I would estimate the number to be between 150 and 180 domains. This is one of the reasons I joined this forum, I want to sell many of the domain names and learn about various aspects of advertising, link exchange, affiliates, etc. so I can develop the names versus having them sit doing nothing and paying $$$ each year in renewal fees.

CashParking is an online domain monetizationsystem that quickly and easily lets you earn money from your existing domain portfolio. Each time someone clicks on advertising that generates revenue on your parked pages, you share in the revenue.

    quite agree with you.
no idea why people will register domains for parking only.
i would buy domains only that i like and might develop later.

If I have 200 domains parked at any given time (I will continue to buy ,sell and develop) my renewels will be roughly $1400 per year. To brake even I have to make $3.83/day with these 200 domains. $115 per month.
    Does not look good :)

you're paying to park with godaddy? biggest scam ever, every other domain parking program is free if you have traffic. i guess godaddy will take crap if you pay them to park... that's pretty sad and sort of funny in a twisted way.

IMO advice is always good but I believe in personal experience. I like to try "hands on". and free scripts are 90% crap, free services are 90% s**t, free food does not taste very good ...free drinks....free sex....:)

you are providing the product. that's where you have things backwards. You have the valuable traffic, they want to buy it. You're paying them to give them something.

I don't us a Parking Service but I have over 40 real estate websites parked for niche markets that aren't well represented online. I use a hosting account that allows unlimited domains and generate a decent amount of revenue from this. Well more than what it costs to host and enough to make it worth adding more as I get time to do it.

    Great responseWallaceYeung.
We have over 2500 listed here Domain Name Portfolio.

We never park them that in our opinion this is going away each day.
Oh course this crazy guy thinks PPC is fading as well.

Also agree buy what you will need or a client might need because it is like wine. Do not buy fine wines to save them because they might go up in value always buy what you know you would drink so this way you can at least enjoy your investment.
The latest trick we see (or at least new to us) now is to build a blog, then after it is in the blog directories then switch it to a parked page or one even more cleaver was one that looked like a blog but was 100% PPC

This might actually get some clicks
Then the visitors click on things thinking there is something about that page. We re seeing a lot of these today.
