Last thread: My site is always in the first page of google with certain keyword. but i dont know whats going on today, my site is gone in google, not even in first ten page. does google banned me?or is this some kind of penalty?i didnt do any thing against google's policy... more info: my site is 2 and half month old. It ranked in the 2nd page in the first 2 weeks. It got 5th position after i added lots back links and stayed there for 6 weeks. around 2 weeks ago, it just disapeared and fell down to 10th page in one night. updates: My site is keep rank #1 in yahoo, however, it really doesnt bring traffic, its useless. the ranking in google is keep fell down, now its in the #12' page.
As your site is not too much old this can happen to you..its good u had achieved higher positions in google searches in some keywords.. wait for some time and do your best seo efforts//
They call it new page bounce. Just work on links from sites related to topic and it will move back up over time.
Where the links come from? Because your site is quite new, such things are normal. Get used to it, SERP is not constant. It dance all the time. Just keep updating your site from time to time with fresh original content and build quality backlinks (possibly from related sites).
Just curious if you understand what a suspicious link burst is? This is part of a 2 year old Google patent. Get too many links it will have a negative effect, a penalty.
I wouldn't panic yet, give it a day or two... and only if you are adding over 1,000 new backlinks a day, then worry about google slamming you.. less then that and you should be fine..
About the "1000 backlinks a day"... is it something official (source?), someone tested it, or it's more like a myth? Also 1000 backlinks from 1000 different IPs (or at least domains) or even 1000 sitewide links could harm you?
there is another question, why my site ranks #100 in google but top 3 in yahoo. are they totally different??
Google, Yahoo, Live, etc. use different algorithms so that's the explanation why ranking in these 3 varies. For example Yahoo like onpage optimization, Google prefer offpage factors.
Several factors could have caused you page to disappear ranging from the back links you have added coming from sources that are no longer in good favor with google to the fact that your site is so new and was bumped up the google ranks for a while to test how visitors reacted to and on your site. I am a firm believer that google will bump you up for a while and look for signs your site belongs on the first page based on user traffic and a few other factors and if they don't see compelling reasons to leave you there they drop you back to where they feel you should be. There is no way to tell exactly unless you can pinpoint something you did that could have triggered the drop. My suggestion is keep adding quality content to your site, make sure the back links you are adding are from relevant and quality sites and try to be patient.
Sorry, I don't get it?? There are some sites that get 1000 in an hour and others that get 1000 a year. There are 100's of factors taken into account with incoming links. -Source -Historical Trends -Anchor Text Only Google knows what is acceptable and what crosses thresholds. No offence but I totally disagree, unless I have misunderstood? H
No worries man, your site is still new and not that old... just keep building links and adding quality content then simply WAIT, give it some time to move up the ranking. Good luck.
i have been waitting for 2 weeks, will keep adding good unique content and quality back links as what you guys said. another question, is the forum signature helpful?
