My pagerank on my blog: http://lets-make-some-money-online.blogspot.com/ recently dropped from 2 to 0 and I have no idea why that might be. I don't sell links, write paid reviews or anything like that. What should I be doing to restore my pagerank?
God would you please read the threads other people make? Sometimes this happens when there is a PR update. Just let it wait a couple of days, besides stop worrying about PR it means nothing.
Number of people asking this question in digitalpoint these days.. may be this is because of PR update will be coming soom or going on in process..
If you don't really sell links or write paid reviews, then you don't need to worry about toolbar Page Rank.
Just keep working on getting links from related sites and do not worry about it. Google has and always will move sites around every time they do no algo. The more links to site the less it moves up or down after time
You really are putting to much into page rank.. What you should be looking for is your rank as it pertains to your keyword, whatever, your blog is about & where it ranks. If it hasn't fallen due to something like sheer number of back links I wouldn't stress over it.
you have 144 anchors on the index, 45 are outbound on "follow" I filtered the domains out : http://www.bidvertiser.com http://www.blogger.com/ http://cashcrate.com/557652 http://www.howrichwillibe.com/ http://www.money.co.uk https://www.matched.co.uk/ http://bp3.blogger.com/ http://bp2.blogger.com/ http://chillibabe.dayjobkill.hop.clickbank.net/ http://www.splash.co.uk/?source=CMSPKCSEF mostly affiliate links and they appear on most pages, put rel="nofollow" in the anchor that should save you some juice ?
Have you done a template change since the past update? Whenever I update my styles or template, I almost always see a reduction in PR until another PR update comes around. I wouldn't worry about it.
I am not sure about that. I dont think template may effect such things though i never tested it. Any proof or more such reviews can help webmaster to know such things.
The PR of the website/blog that you do have backlink are drop/banned which directly affect your PR also. The only way to get the PR is get the quality backlink
PR does matter to those who say it doesn't. It may not matter when looking at the little green bar, but it does matter a lot. How do you think google sorts their sites? There is a few factors that take place but pagerank is one of bigger ones. So the higher your pagerank is the better you're going to rank. You mix that with good keywords and you're good to go. I think what you mean to say is the google toolbar rank doesn't matter because google keeps a live pagerank. The Pagerank we see on the toolbar is just a cached rank and may not actually be the current rank of your site.
Loosing PR dosent have to mean you lose traffice and you can always get PR back (well most of the time..) t
There's been a lot of changes within Google recently, I think we're all getting hit like this in one way or another. :/
