    Hi guys,

I sometimes enter the design contests here but I am officially self employed as a designer, as well as have a full time design job.

The one thing I've always struggled with is a logo for myself! Other people's are a breeze compared to making my own! Anyway I haven't had much time to work on my own but I have come up with this.

What do you think? I need to print up some business cards so your critique is welcome! I didn't want anything overly complex. Nice and simple is for me.

    Please be nice!!!

Looks very clean and very professional to me... I got no idea about graphic designing but I would say that the first impression of that logo is very very professional

Some Designers on DP will give u a better critique ;)

    Good luck

wow....i like this one....nice, clean and professional.....

    who did it for you?

    The Logo Company?
    The Logo Factory?

....looks like a logo one of those 2 would have produced....

I'm a designer myself and I will start off with a thumbs up, a great logo indeed. That being said, if you don't mind a bit of critique, here goes:

I think that the logo is fairly abstract and offers very little with respect to identifying your brand, your design firm as such. It's rather pointy and sharp too, which might be what you're looking for, but my personal opinion is that it reminds me of spiders in the way it's got a fair amount of sharp edges. A little more simplicity might make it nice.

However, I do realize you're also looking at making this logo smaller (ie for business cards) so the effect might not be so evident. Be sure to make the contrast a little more evident when you print it =)

Great job, and I know what you mean when it's easier to design for others than for yourself. I think it has to do with being a perfectionist!

Erm...no I did it!! That's why I'm asking what people think I wasn't sure whether to keep it like this or alter it. I'm so difficult to please when doing something for myself.

Thanks for your comments I love constructive criticism! I see what you mean about spiders, perhaps I can come up with something a little softer.

I'll have a play around with it and see what I can come up with. I know it's not the best logo in the world but I'm beginning to run short on time unfortunately and need something. I'm concerned that I don't want to be changing it at all once it's decided, as that just kills branding.

    Thanks again,

    VictoriaAnn

Nice and simple with the creative touch. I like the logo. But maybe you should make the colors look darker and brighter. Currently it looks blur. Just my view.
