Is it possible to wire transfer $$/Rs from US to Indian HDFC bank?

    Does any one know , if it is possible to wire transfer $$ from US to Indian HDFC bank?

    I have a salaried account from HDFC Bank India.

    Ask the person to visit his bank, fill up a simple wire transfer details and the money will be in your account, You would be required to provide him with the swift code,your account number of HDFC bank

    yes, it is possible, but in most of US banks you must go to bank to send wire transfer

    Man its easy..and its possible..go to your bank and ask for details. or call customer care of your bank..they will give you full details .

    I don't think my advertiser would be ready to take the pain...they are a big company... I found out from HDFC they told the person from US has to register an A/C which will take about 3 days and then only they can transfer. Suggestions?

    Can someone suggest some good and quicker way to transfer money from a US business to India?

    Try Xoom.com I send payment via them monthly and they deposit it into the bank account in Indian- if the money is coming from US bank account the fee is just $2.00
