To Mac or not?

    Im thinking about buying a macbook pro but im needing some advice to push me over the edge. As $2,000 is a hefty price. I am curious of some things

    1) Does apple ever have a sale like a black friday sale?
    2) Are there any rumors of a new Macbook Pro coming out? I dont want to buy the macbook and then have a new one come out some months later.

    If you have any advice for me you can go ahead and post it

    I am not sure whether there are blackout fridays for apple macs, etc. I bought a mac last year for music creatings only, and have thought it was the best purchase I have made. I know they are little expensive, but for me the purchase was well worth it. it all depends on what kinds of tasks you will be doing.

    Basic use I will be making tutorials so I would be using iMovie and iDvd
    Im going to to hate myself if I buy it this summer and on black friday they have a sale for like $500 off or something. I know my local best buy sells them but I dont know if they would put it on sale.
