I have an adult domain. I have never owned one like this before and I don't know what to do with it. It seemed like a good name to have though: www.whoring.eu Any suggestions?
Please ignore the other poster everyone. I am looking for ideas to develope an adult website not for his opinion on what makes a good domain name.
My bad, thought you posted in the appraisals section. However still, because of the .eu it will be very difficult to have a good site. It's possible, but most will think whoring.com or .net or even .org first. Not many know of .eu. The best way to get traffic is paying for it, and viral. Could do something regarding European whores.
Make a site dedicated to porn girls from eastern europe perhaps. Or Europe as a whole. Don't cover it in ads when you launch. Wait until you get a steady amount of traffic(I'd put the bench mark at around 2500 UV daily). Then gradually add adverts as the site grows. And actually give the users something to "get off" to - pun intended.

wow some people are heavily invested in .coms and dis all other domains. What will you people do when they start auctioning off domain endings of all types? You know "dot coms" are now a synonym for failure in business circles.

It's not that they are worse domains really, it's that the general internet viewing public generally know .com, .org, .edu, and .net. Throw in other domain endings, and most think spam or scam, especially .biz, and .info. If you can't comprehend that, then that is your own problem. If you want to spend lots of money advertising or spamming those domains to get traffic, then more power to you.
I don't think anyone is saying that .com and .biz have the same value, but I think that .biz has value, some more than others. Some people here are saying that you shouldn't buy .biz at all and I think that is a mistake. If you are willing to buy 3 word .com domains you would surely be better off with a good .biz. I have seen .mobi domains selling for 100,000$.
Any extension can become a valuable investment. Good name backed with a quality site will add value to whatever your extension may be. Also it depends on the amount of people who may want that name and dont care about the extension. One mans trash is another mans treasure.
