Hi all, I want to make a link directory site. But I want to make one that is supported by Adsense. People would submit their link, I would check to make sure it was legit, and then add it. Someone said that I should use this link directory software. But this talks about link bidding... What is link bidding? Thanks, Paul
The more you pay, the higher your link will be listed. If you are looking for a directory script, I will recommend phpld to you.
increasing link popularity to for you site and get many links to your site from other people's website or you can say you website address posted on many other sites that is call link popularity or link building. i hope that helps
Its where one idiot is stupid enough to believe the first idiot bid more than him to get to the place above him thus forcing the guy behind him to bid more to get one place in front of the guy who's supposed to bid higher than him. This all goes on by completely unrelated companies and sites all supposedly competing against each other on a page where the top 10 or more get seen anyway. The easiest way to find out if you really want to start a bidding directory is to ask yourself if the moon is really made of cheese, if your convinced it is then a bidding directory is a must for you. Disclaimer: This does not in any way mean all bidding directories are questionable imo; just a lot of them.
Hi Paul You may want t take a look at eSyndiCat. http://www.esyndicat.com/ eSyndiCat Pro vs. eSyndiCat Free http://www.esyndicat.com/product/comparison.html And here's a current list of available plugins. http://www.esyndicat.com/product/plugins.html Demos of both versions are here: http://www.esyndicat.com/demo.html The pro version admin panel you can play around with. It'll reset itself on the hour. Also feel free to ask at the forums, in the pre-sales area, if you have any questions.
I would stay away from building a bid directory... google might see it as paid placement, which is what is it just use phpld and build a good quality directory.
Paul, I am sorry you have had the unfortunate experience of being victimised by the phpLinkDirectory club here. As I can see - and presumably those who answered beforehand - you only asked 'what is link bidding?' and made no question regarding the scripts, therefore didn't really need them all pushing phpld down your throat. Your post was, however, on that subject, so shall attempt to answer any points made. Link bidding is usually represented by what JamieG described, however, there are a few bidding directories that will send you traffic, but are mostly overpriced - no denying that. On the subject of directory scripts, my personal recommendation is phpLynx - which has both free and paid versions, and has by far more features as standard than phpld. Make an educated decision, not a forceful one
