SERP - An acronym for Search Engine Results Page.
Search Engine Results Page - A page with links and site descriptions produced by the search engine in response to the user’s interest, as expressed in the keywords or phrases entered.

SERP is the position of your website in a setain query

exemple: search for xpto oon google

and in which page did you see your website, that is your SERP, generaly speaking if your page is not on the firt 5pages it is unlikly that people will find you easily on search engines! Better SERP = good content :)

    Search Engine Result Pages.

When we search any keyword the resulting page is called SERP.

^^AFAIK Sandbox means some thing like temporary deindexing or not indexing of the site
In plain words the site will be vanished from google search results
The term of sandbox can't be predicted ...
Some say it's a kind of punishment for sites which doesn't follow google guidelines...

not true...the sandbox is google not allowing brand new domain names to rank for their keywords until they mature and build up some trust.
