I think this says it all.

".biz" just screeches "unprofessional" - not unlike a shop that can't even spell its own line of business. Or do you mean a shop that doesn't move about?

Like .info, it's primarily associated with spammers and junk sites. And even more than .info, it's un-brandable. I cannot think of anyone who has made a significant investment into branding a .biz name. Trademark holders buy them so they don't have to pay their attorney $300 to send off a letter to a squatter later on. Domain name speculators buy them to sell to each other, and to MFA site developers.

Visitors, meanwhile, avoid them like the plague. The only people who click on .biz links are those who are too inexperienced with the web to have learned about all the spam and crap they're likely to find on the next page they see.

Some of the comments here are simply ignorant and I will not reply to those. When I bought the .biz my conception was of a premium domain. The marketplace will demonstrate the current common denominator.

www.investNow.biz still looks a great domain to me. I have like 50 domains to develop in the pipeline but I hope to create a good site with good offers.

Care to list down a bunch of MFA sites using .biz?

People simply lump things together without doing their homework first. Biz is definitely not used for spam now, with that kind of pricing (even more expensive than .com). I hardly see any .biz sites. Most are parked. Parked pages cannot be called sites (good/bad). I don't regard them as sites.

And with ICANN allowing new extensions, all extensions could be affected later on, including .com. The whole domain industry is built on .com. When .com goes, everything will go.

Just ask ordinary people on the street, what THEY think of .biz, not what YOU think. Ordinary people will tell you .biz is OK

The first 5 things I tried:

    cars.biz
    houses.biz
    travel.biz
    computers.biz
chicken.biz (yeah, I ran out of ideas)

were all MFA/parking sites with stupid ads and no useful content, the kind of sites that piss people off.

In .com, only one of those (chicken.com) was MFA/parking.
