I am working on reviving this old Tech Support forum. So far, I only have Google ads on it.
What would be the best way to monetize this forum.

Any suggestions on this? Would affiliate links work for this forum?

affiliate links should work just fine. Just keep it within your niche
There are plenty of products you could sell from Click Bank or CJ

You can try auction ads and ads from ebay and amazon.

You could also try selling ad space. Depending on the traffic you get.

I think you should wait a little before you try monetizing it. Make it grow a little more.

    EXCELLENT IDEA!

As others have said... Take OFF the ads and let for forum grow.

Hmmm...I think adsense might be worth a try, as they tend to have the highest cpc.

Umm... I don't know how long it'll take for the forum to be popular. Meanwhile I have to pay for hosting. So any money (no matter how little) I can make, will help.
I would try to reduce the amount of ads but not completely eliminate them.

make sure its active, make sure you are a respected voice to the members

then sell products/services direct to members
as well as offering a premium paid area

Try ADSDAQ. It pays on a CPM basis and you set your own rates - it's a pretty cool thing.

Check out my ADSDAQ review for some more info on the program.

First you need to look into getting a more active userbase, and increase the traffic before you start thinking about monetizing the forum, sure you can do it now but doing it at a later stage you will get alot more proffit.

One of my thoughs was to add a premium service/area where users pay a subscription to access another section of your forum and perhaps get even better support... Just an idea

I have been working on that but so far, without much luck.
If you guys have any ideas on how to promote this site better, I am open to suggestions.
