The quality of replies in threads

I don't have that much of a problem. You will, no matter what, get a few knuckleheads who want to just raise their post count by posting pointless, and completely offtopic replies or to be a smart ass and doing it to tick you off.

Now how do I combat it? I don't really, unless its in a sales thread and has nothing to do with the main sales post then I nail the sucker with a reported post or red rep.

Or to prevent knuckleheads, make your thread meaningful and have as much information that will help lead to your question answered.

 

Forums were never constructed to perform a question-answer scheme. If you want that sort of thing, you can try Yahoo Answers.

 

forums most certainly are used for question and answer conversations...

 

Even if there are a few stupid posts now and then, there's a loads of threads that have plenty of useful information for readers and the op. After all the information is provided free. Why complain about it?
