"Content is King": Do you hire people to write for you(?)

Iv'e heard it said over and over and over again that "content is king". I was wondering.........roughly how much do you all WRITE for your website? Have you hired a team to do this, or do you do it yourself? For our site, myself, and another partner, have worked extremely hard at producing a significant amount of quality articles pertaining to our products and services, while just all around being informative and helping people.......

Have you hired people now, or in the past, to do writing for you? How many articles do you write a week, for your website's content?

99.9% of article writers are a waste of time, they either re-write content already found on other web pages or take content directly out of a book that isn't on the internet but it's copyright infringement. Beware!

Currently as i have the free time to write the articles myself (summer break between end of college and start of university) i am writing all of the articles myself and i have always tried to do this. However when i first developed my website i paid an article writer to write me approximately 10 articles.

However i will not do that again, if you write them yourself you can get your own personality across to the readers which will make them feel more relaxed and comfortable and hopefully they may find it more unique and not as boring.

At the moment i am writing about 6,000-8,000 words a week for my articles, about 8-10 articles a week.

    Will.

May I see a source where you got that statistic from? It's obvious you've never worked with a professional before (although I use that term loosely, as "professional" means different things to different people.) I'm sorry you've had bad experiences with writers you've hired before, but those aren't "writers," and give professionals in the writing field a bad name. That certainly doesn't mean ALL writers are plagiarists. Please be careful when you group people together like that.

I write a lot, and outsource a lot. Try to update your sites from time to time in order to keep your SERP.

LAck of time makes me outsource my content need. However, I sometime take the time to write a few articles myself.

oh yes......before we even started writing, there was a temptation to hire someone to do it for us.......but, even though I'm very new to SEO, fortunately, Iv'e had some good guidance.....and, they advised strictly against doing anything that was even a fraction from original. So, even though it's incredibly time consuming, all our writing is hashed from our own brains.....plus, i know there could be serious legal implications if the copyright infringement occurs.......I'm sure it happens all over the place nowadays.....

Have people actually established companies out there to do writing/providing content for other people?.............I would have to do a significant amount of research before I'd ever consider going down that route, though......while my company is in startup, I'm really hesitant to give up the reigns to any aspect of our operations....just to be on the safe side....even if it means have to work a few hours longer, and giving up some sleep.....i just like having....hm.....control, especially when implications could be great....

when an article is rewritten then its new to google and thus not duplicate content.
but this doesn't mean that the content of this article is of a high quality thats something
    different.
one hint: inlcude LSI elements in your articles!

Iv'e been working under the strict guidance of a very good SEO specialist.....i won't claim to know everything about all the many techniques needed to get good SEO and rankings......but, she tells me to make sure my articles are original and keyword friendly......

what is an LSI element?

Iv'e been thinking, too........how does Google check for ACCURACY of an article?......I mean, say someone slips something in about a historical 'fact' that they either intentionally, or unintentionally, just got wrong? What happens if that kind of article is posted on a website that is very high? Then.....several thousand people could get the wrong information, right?

Is there any way for Google to check for accuracy?

    LSI = Latent Semantic Indexing

With a certain algorithm (Google bought a company which specializes in this field)
google can discover what a certain website or webpage is about by applying
word associations. Thus, if in a webpage the words "apple" appear google will find out
by also looking at words like "computer", "macintosh" , "macOs" that this page is about
the apple computer and not about the fruit apple.

this method is also used for the quality index calculation in adwords. thats why some
landing pages in conjunction with the chosen keywords sometimes bring about horrible
CPCs of $5 or $10 because the landing page has too less elements of the chosen keywords.
the simple solution is just to write individual landing pages. by this I get entry
    CPCs of $0.05.

I write my own content because it's fun to do and I'm in Advanced Placement English so I need all the help I can get to get an A- next year!

Unique Content is king mainly because you can put your own personality and soul into something you have written yourself. It doesn't hurt that you can also try adding a comedic twist to your articles :)
