I want to know whether making a forum website considered good. I mean whether it has any future. Plus installing a vbulletin script on it.
its never about the idea or business or venture....its always about the people behind it. A forum is still a great and profitable idea. You just need to ensure you learn as much as possible about it (get help where needed), have a good plan and budget and then go for it. Most will fail....because most ventures fail....most people fail to market, fail to have a large enough budget, fail to actually DO ANY WORK, fail to understand their market or fail to target a market ...in the end it comes down to you and your team.
i don't have enough budget but i am willing to work almost 18-20hours a day. I can make posts and do promotion.

Seeq and Learning set up SMF, its free and more secure than phpbb they also install themselves....configuration is self explanitory in the admin section and has help files. u can start with that to build the forum up, then your just paying for hosting, which you can get for $4 a month
As with any other product or service being able to provide something unique is essential. Forums can be very profitable. When starting a forum, you should first decide your target market. What will be the reason people want to become active on the site? You mentioned entertainment as the topic. I would suggest breaking it down even further. Will it be a forum for movies, old television shows, musical groups, celebrity gossip, how to market to the entertainment industry, -- just to name a few possibilities. The more clear it is to the visitor why they should spend time on your forum instead of another entertainment forum, the more likely you will be successful as a forum owner.
If you have a good niche, and work hard, a forum can do well... You have to attract some core posters that are very much into the niche
Depends on your topic. It's hard to make money with a forum unless it becomes very popular. Find a particular niche where you can strive. Check out the competition and see if you can succeed in that niche.
"if u know how to execute it" "depends on how much traffic YOU can generate" those are the things that separate the men from the boys the wannabes and the doers anyone can have an idea, and most can make a forum about an idea but can you execute it (and generate traffic) if you can't, get help from those who can
