Hello, I'm interested in learning web design. What specific sources/tutorials do you recommend? Thank you very much in advance I know of W3schools, and while it is great, its not the best for design.
I'm going to assume you have photoshop, or you have some way of getting it (it's not too hard). I wouldn't recommend using any other program, but if you plan on it just modify my instructions accordingly. This is what I recommend. Go through a lot of good web design tutorials (look at the final result first and see if the writer can actually design). Here's a good resource for that: http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/adobe_photoshop/website_layouts/ Once you feel comfortable creating a couple different styles, find some design inspiration site like http://cssremix.com/ . Find designs you really like and try to figure out what makes them good, try to make your own designs mimicking that style, and stuff like that. Don't plagiarize, but I do think the easiest way to learn is to just take someone else's design and dissect it. Once you've done that enough you'll have a lot of design ideas and styles that you can do.
if you wanna learn web design,i guess you should learn some basis about photoshop first...get a book and download photoshop, play with it and learn the basis.
Design by coding. I'm fairly good at coding the content of the page. I just have to make it look nice.
