Hello all! My web hosting customers have been increasing lately .. so i am looking for a way to manage all clients data and subscriptions. could anybody advise me about the best way to do this ? any useful software or script that can handle this mission ? Thanks a lot in advance
hi, may i know what is your web hosting company website? You can develop a cms to manage all the data.
I use http://www.whmcs.com and love it. Automates the entire business. Other options are: http://www.clientexec.com http://www.modernbill.com http://www.whmautopilot.com http://www.awbs.com
JaguarPC has their own internally built system, so I'm afraid you won't be able to find that for sale
oic.. so they have their own cms. thanks alot for the list, makes my research easier alot. Btw, does http://www.whmcs.com calculates yearly revenue and output in a graph?
Absolutely, and SO much more. Check out: http://demo.whmcs.com/admin User: Admin Pass: demo And...get the free trial @ https://www.whmcs.com/clients/order.php?step=2&pid=1
I would use the conventional Quick Books 2008 which allows integration more easily with my accountant. The rest above are useful, problems is my accounts will need to do double entries.
I also use QuickBooks to track my financing. However, QuickBooks is not an effective invoicing tool in my opinion. You don't have to do double entries - just do a daily journal entry everyday. Take your total income, merchant fees, and break it down by categories. It's actually fairly simple.
I did tried the software above once, but too much complaints from my accounts, they want the traditional way of keying in and churning both hard copy as well as pdf versions of every invoice .
most of my customers come from real life not via internet . I have license to use whmautopilot but i didn't like it specially in my case that my relation with customers are offline and they pay me in cash , besides , i want a method that will be suitable for my other services (domains/ design/support..) so i think i will follow wisdomtool's way and try Quick Books 2008 . Thanks a lot for all your replies and advice
I would definatly say go with whmcs, there is a monthly cost but it saves you so much time and effort that it's well worth it for any hosting business. Tom
ModernBill WAS widely used. However, it's no longer the market leader - in fact - almost nobody uses it anymore. WHMCS is the market leader, with ClientExec following closely behind. ModernBill is not a popular option anymore after the disaster that Version 5 turned out to be.
Same for me, I would take Modern Bills and the likes, all of which are so automated that life's a breeze. But with my main accountant being my elder sister, not much I dare to do to offend her accountants.
