Google Dance It means Change in algorithm, when u can see that there change in google SERP, Ups and downs. Regards, Rajesh
Google have not had a "dance" in several years! The "dance" referred to the monthly (or thereabouts) update they did of the algorithm, rankings, PR and backlinks. Many years ago, they stopped the "dance" and moved to a continuous update of rankings, PR and backlinks (the PR and backlink update we get to see is not a "dance", but just a periodic export of a snapshot of the internal data).
I put my right hand in, I put my right hand out, I give my right hand a shake, shake shake And I turn myself about. jk it's in regards google's policy of domain seasoning or the "sandbox", eg., #5 today #15 tomorrow
This refers to the changes, ups and downs during an update or what I do in my office if a site goes up in PR or target keyword results.
Google Dance - A phenomenon in which the search results returned by Google appear to fluctuate and change. This is a result of inconsistencies among the different Google data centers as they each undergo updates to their individual indexes. The term Google dance is an unofficial term.
Hiii Secret Squirrel....... Are you a member of G? How come you know about G stoped "dance"???? Tell me in detail!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks sumesh
Anyone who has been around SEO long enough can remember the traditional "Google Dance" and the long threads that resulted in the forums as it would happen (I don't think DP was even around then). There used to be a site (this one) to monitor the progress of the roll out of the new index and data. All this stopped in 2003 when the "dance" did not happen anymore and G went to continuous updates (see this story). Having said that, those who have not been around long enough to remember the "dance" as it used to be, now use the term to refer to any change in google.
