all the rest of the top levels are gone for the name i want except the above .NAME or .WS so which should i pick? i've read wikipedia and didn't really get too much answers from them but it did hint that .NAME was more stingy for giving up WHOIS names of spammers. i'm not a spammer by the way.
Since none of the both mentioned extensions is good enough I would say it's better to slightly modify your domain name requirements in order to be able to register a .com name.
Yea, but there is more chances to get a shorter domain name if you exclude .com/.net and some similar extension.
I was about to say the same thing. Honestly in this case, I would keep trying with another word combination that has better extensions available.
I'm not sure what you're promoting, but I've never seen a .name or .ws on the front page of g,y, or msn. Maybe all you need is to be a little creative and I'm sure you can find a .com that is totally suitable for you and whatever you're promoting.
