Dropped domain?

    Hi guys, would like to ask what is a dropped domain? is it wise to buying so? if i have a domain that is parked.. is it a dropped domain?

    It's a domain that was registered, but wasnt renewed so it expired.

    Are you talking about domains that expire but are listed for sale?

    There is a general belief that a dropped domain will easily lose its backlinks and hence PageRank, so the value of the domain should be lower.

    Dropped domain is when a registrar disregards a domain because the client did not renew the domain.

    Most of the time they are worth buying, it doesn't really make too much of a difference.

    If your domain is parked, it is not a dropped domain.

    Usually some registrars like Godaddy and Enom renew automatically potential domains and send them to Tdaname and afternic.. LOL

    Yes, www.tdnam.com is the domain aftermarket run by GoDaddy.

    If the domain is dropped, it means that the person didn't renew it & now it's available for hand reg again.

    Is it wise to buy, well, that really depends on the quality of the name.
