I've seen this combination on many web pages before. Is it against Google's terms of use? I mean I know I cannot use Google ads with ads like Bidvertiser, but what about those adbrite ads (the green underline ones)
No, Adsense and Adbrite are both contextual CPC ad networks and you can't use them together. Try using a few CPA networks with Adsense and then pepper it with some inline ads like Chitika or Kontera. That's a winning combination. If you want to use both Adsense+Adbrite on the same page, one thing you could do is make a PHP script that rotates Adsense and Adbrite.
next time proof read your copy and paste. adbrite isn't contextual.it is keyword based.even if it was contextual, google doesn't have a problem with networks that are. thats what google says,so yes you can.
Zodiac is right. Whether an ad is contextual or not does not matter to Big G. They just don't want to share page space with ads that look like theirs. You can answer this question about mixing Adsense and any other service's ads by answering this- Does this other guy's ads look like Adsense ads? If the answer is "yes", you can not display Adsense on the same page. If the answer is "no", fire away.
Well, seeing as the question has been asked already here on DP at least 100 times (not to mention every other webmaster forum), maybe the best thing to do is consult Google TOS https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=32757 That should answer any questions. btw, Zodiac, AdBrite is considered "contextual" if you are using the network ads, however, if you're just selling ad space through Adbrite (hence, the use of keywords), it's not considered contextual. As far as the ads "looking like" Adsense ads, yes, the Google Adsense TOS clearly states So my opinion is why risk potentially pissing Adsense off ? Your best bet is to do as I mentioned earlier and rotate the two networks if you absolutly have to use them both. This isn't a question of who's right ans who's wrong, it's a question of not chopping off your nose to spite your own face. Let's agree, Google is heavy-handed with publishers, AdBrite is very forgiving. Adsense pays a lot better than Adbrite, so for my dollar, I'll use adbrite here and there but I try not to mix Google with any click-based networks like Abrite or Bidvertiser that look like Adsense ads.
