Are You Doing Well With Google Adsense Referral?

Do you run ads using Google Adsense Referral? What is your conversion rate? Please share your experience.

 

I have never done well enough on the referrals to justify using them. I have tried on about 12 sites, with little to no success. I'm just about done trying any more. The good thing about them, if there is one, is that it is better than using a third ad unit that would bring in the cheap ads. I have basically resolved to only placing referrals in spots where I have nothing else to put there.

Other than firefox referrals on tech sites, I have never heard any good reports on referrals.

Not since they restricted it to north america and japan publishers. I've stopped promoting it to my french audience, and I'm not hoping anything on my english sites. Before I didn't perform very well but had some nice $250 surprises once in a while, but now the discrimination of the location is too much for me.

 

have I had success? One word: No.

Never been successful with referrals in general though, so maybe it's just me.

 

Referrals are poor earners for me. I have not had any success with them so far

 

Aside from Google products, do you display referrals for a particular industry, say, travel referral ads by Google?

 

I have tried referrals from every niche that G offers. I have not done well on any of them, over many different sites. Quite seriously, the only success I have ever heard of is Firefox on gadget/ tech sites.

 

I just concentrate on Google Apps and Google Adwords. I just don't know why referral ads are so difficult to convert.

 

i think referral does not work in most region of the world except north america and japan....

 

yeah i think getting revenue from google referral is harder than google adwords,

i tried to promote firefox through google referral, but it seems people who come to my site already use that browser so i didn't get revenue,

so i could say that im not doing very well with the referral thingy

 

In six months, I had one sign-up for Google Adwords. Nothing comes after that.

 

Adwords referrals have been working real well for me. Today I got $40 - some guy must have spent a lot of money on Adwords after signing up thru my link..

 

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Do you just place the banner and forget about it, or so you write a lot of pages targeted to drive them to click and convert?

 

Google Referral is a bomb. You will hear a few people claim great success but for the majority of website owners they are a complete waste of time. I predict Google will scrap it accept for their own products. I love these sites that will pay you like 53 cents for a "conversion" If your website can convert you will pay me 53 cents...lol Gee thanks!
