I wonder which is harder for people, their adversaries being proven right or themselves being proven wrong? any thoughts?

Whats the differnce between the 2? Some people can never except that they are wrong, they have a blurred concept of reality, of fact and fiction.

    There is a difference.

Those whose ego are involved in the fight tend to have a harder time with themselves being proven wrong, in other words, a refutation of one's points over an affirmation of the opposing point of view.

Hmm I actually like being proven wrong on some subjects, doesn't happen often, I however like to learn and if that equates to me being proven wrong, so be it.

I have a bad habit of arguing. I like to argue. I find it's the best way to learn. It's not easy to predict what sort of retorts another human mind can come up with, and push the boundary of what I believe and know. So it's usually pretty interesting.

That said, I'm probably too competitive, but it's a competition with myself, not necessarily the other poster.

I take a lot of devil's advocate positions, so I put myself in a hole and try to dig out but that doesn't usually work too good.

I don't think you've ever been or will be proved wrong, in the history of your soul on planet Earth.

I'm given to this type of stuff as well. Just because I argue something doesn't mean I believe in it whole heartedly. Sometimes I just offer something to balance the argument or I'm looking to learn or even be proven wrong. I usually don't mind being wrong if I learn something. That helps me to not be wrong in the future. :D

PS. I really do think the black guy from They Live is kind of big, though.

By the way, the "your" in your title is wrong, either that or I'm not right, or both.

    I’m Right or your wrong?

Actually, you're wrong. The title should read: I'm right or you're wrong.

You, as many people on DP do, have used the possessive form of the word your, instead of the contraction that is short for you are or you're.

So, it seems in this case, I'm right and you're wrong.

Do you argue both sides of a topic or do you hold your ground through out?

unless the intent was to show ownership of the wrong, to possibly show how people need to be vindicated is self-evident by people going off topic and pointing this out.

so was I right or is it your wrong?

I'm pretty stubborn. I argue one side as hard as I can usually.
