I was searching on Google & reached this forum & got shocked... http://www.xboard.us/who.php? It has more members than DP... When I was creating this thread This was the status of these two forums DP Currently Active Users: 2,261 (813 members and 1,448 guests) - View Map Xboard Currently Active Users: 9237 (1276 members and 7961 guests).....
http://www.big-boards.com several boards that are bigger than dp Gaia online has Who is Online? - 68492 users. (59462 visible, 3050 hidden, 5980 guests).
No its not you have www.sitepoint.com http://www.webmaster-talk.com/ www.iwebtool.com and a couple others
www.iwebtool.com, It is not a forum. www.webmaster-talk.com, this is not popular as DP. www.sitepoint.com, Here membership is paid.......
Yes, there are many forums that have more members than DP... but there are lots of issues you have look for it, when it we are talking about forums and members. You have have to compare forums with the same content. There are lots of theme forums and you can not compare DP with let's say a music or game forum. It is not the same thing. Regards, Izabella
look around www.talk.iwebtool.com and www.webmaster-talk.com is still a good webmaster resource sitepoint you dont have to pay to be a member but they do charge you to do certain thinks such as sale a domain and what not
xboard is a porn forum (so I believe... not that I would know personally ) Sex is popular... unless you're a nun.
There are alot more forums that are the same size, and bigger than DP Think, webmaster is a small niche
Some forums show a lot of people online but they really aren't there anymore. Theres a lot of forum software that keeps visitors logg in from there first visit and they never logg out again.
What really shocks is that u r comparing dp with this Xboard , dear a member on dp = 10000 members of this type of forums , has nothing valuable , so still dp has the largest number of members
You really can't compare similar forums as each has its own sense of community. Even in the same niche there will be differences, which some people may like and others may not. I adore SitePoint for some things and here for others. Neither is "best" in my opinion.
