Will apreciate any help from you.

I need on my SMF 1.1.5:

    - ability to add as many custom fields in user profile as I want. (this suppose to have better user database, using additional info from their profiles will help sorting users by certain information)

    - show in category name how many ppl are watching this category online

    - mass e-mailing/PMessaging (by users groups)

Btw, I tried to install some components from official SMF site, but half of them don't want to work with custom theme. How to solve that too?

    Thanks!

here is one of the biggest problem.
Plus there are tones of components and not all of them are on official SMF site.

mods will work on any theme, the problem is that a custom theme requires some editing for it to work with the mod. instruction for mod installation comes with the mod and details what needs to be done.

smf 2.0 has custom profile fields you will have to wait for the release.

its already out isnt it? beta though i think..

and all mods will work with your theme so long as the version is right and you read the readme file on which files you have to edit and place code etc.

Occasionally the readme.txt files aren't present. You will have to learn how to apply changes by following the installation file present in the modification.

I can tell you for sure that the first 2 things you need can be done through modifications. The third one I am not too sure about, I think that is built in and you just select everyone to email/PM to.
