Absolutely, we should listen to the sailors, of course we should, and it's been a shame their voices have not been properly heard, apparently.

I guess regarding the pointy-head site, it seems blatantly obvious to me from the moment I got there - the list of topics is right there, with the picture - but fair enough. Personally, Gauharjk, if I were to hazard a guess, I think your attention on zionism probably leads you to link to these sites as these sites are critical of zionism, and more - they just happen to extend it to include a hatred for Jews generally.

Maybe my flags are just different, meaning, and I am not being flippant, but when I see a site that is based on Holocaust revisionism, I do tend to think it is predisposed to it for a particular, anti-Jewish purpose. This doesn't mean I won't look at the material openly and honestly; it just means that so far, I've yet to be proven wrong.

I think you're a smart guy. In your "zionism and the Third Reich" thread, this is what you said:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=607079

Once I raised the issues with the IHR, etc., you never returned to the conversation - in other words, your only contribution to that thread was to say you had some documented facts, and since the material sourced "newspapers from that time," it "seemed genuine." Not wanting to ride you, Gauharjk, but I do have to tell that you that at the time, it felt to me that if you were interested in actually dealing with the truth of the matter, you would have continued the conversation - it was your thread, after all. I let it go, and we have had many good exchanges since.

This thread came up, and I raised the question. I accept you are not anti-Jewish, but I do think your views on zionism have kind of narrowed your "flag-blinders" when it comes to research, and I think that has gotten you into trouble. I'll leave it at that.

Personally, I'm glad you raised the issue on the Liberty, as it's something I knew very little about previous to this thread. :)

    I appretiate your views.

I shouldn't have left that thread just like that. My mistake. I realized I didn't know anything about the subject, and since the source was not credible, I decided to quit supporting the topic.

But I should have continued the conversation. I am still learning. Forum posting techniques come with practice :D

    Gauharjk:

I totally disagree with your perspective on the middle east Israeli/Arab/Palestinian issues. Nevertheless I appreciated and accept your apology on sourcing this racist report.
