Who will win Asia up 2008?

I know many asian cricket fans here, specially in south asia. I'm sure Sri Lanka Will win the series. what's your opinion?

Well I would hoping for Indian win because they have good team at the moment and young players want to perform well in Asia Cup.

 

Yes india is a good team in these days. But Sri lankan players also do well. Now sanath jayasuriya also come to national team with good performance. So this will be an advantage to win Asia cup.

 

Also Don't ignore Pakistan because they are home team here and have advantages of home crowd. Pakistan is also a good team and after winning Tri-series their moral is up now.

Also don't forgot, Srilanka didn't play ODI for few months now. So it may be tough for them.

 

But sri lankan team is the most experienced team in this competition.

 

Sri lanka and india won the yesterday games with high scores.

 

Yeah but other teams are young and doing well. India won the match and scored 300+ runs yesterday and Srilanka also did the same thing.

Today we would see match of the Asia Cup: India Vs Pakistan.

 

Having young players not an advantage at always. Think about Australia team. They have a very experience team.

 

Bangladesh looks solid and may win the Asia Cup.

 

No idea who will win, but surely i would like India to win it..they lost the finals in Bangladesh to Pakistan and this time its a golden opportunity to take the revenge

 

You can compare Srilanka with Australia. Fact is that Srilanka won the 1996 world cup with young talents only. I am not saying Experince will not work but if team have young players then it can help to win since all boys want to give best from their performance.

 

no your wrong. in 1996 we had Arjuna Ranathunge, Aravinda Perera etc many experienced players. That's why we could win it.

yes sanath was young in that time. But arjuna and aravinda did many things in 96 world cup. Specially in final match vs Australia.

 

I have no idea what sport the Asia Cup even is, but I voted for India to win. Yes, I voted for Sanjaya Malakar too, all the way to the bitter end.

Well Asia Cup is bigget Cricket event in Asia after World Cup and Champions Throphy. Althogh only 3 teams are stronge among 6 teams.

 

I think china or japan win but i am not sure.
