PageRank is Google's measure of the importance of a page and everyone wants to feel important; it's just human nature, sometimes called ego. Bompa
People need some kind of a yard stick to know how they have performed for their SEO, Page Rank fits into this requirements nicely with a globally accepted performance indicator that is easy to understand and followed by many, thats why a lot are crazy about their Page Rank.
Totally agree with TechSuave Dot Com. PR is important but creating great content is even more important than chasing high PRs. Besides, Google loves to see sites and blogs that have natural growth and that could only be achieved by providing good content.
Loved this article and tried to put a comment but it seems that this website only accept comments from domains other than blogspot. NO respect to blogger.
I think the main reason is that if you have a good PR site, then it enables you to get more reciporcal backlinks from other sites, which helps your SERPs. That is my opinion on it.
lol sorry dude...i think its the theme problem....but thanks for notifying it to me....will try to fix it......
This is has been proven wrong over and over again. iit_2008 said his posts rank well even tho his blog is PR0, but is anyone else trying to rank for the phrases where he does well? Are they competitive phrases? More than likely not, and more than likely iit's posts rank well for keywords that are in his post Title and URL, *not* competitive phrases that are located in his content. And, let me add, that iit_2008 made a point that his content attracts links. Incoming links is what we all want. Some want it for ranking others want it to raise their PR to sell links, other want it for ego. So what? If a person wants PR, leave them alone. Stop the preaching! Me? I focus on getting targeted traffic. That's just my thing. All others can do as they wish. Bompa
Because it's a visual representation of a sites supposed "worth" in Googles eyes and because people mistakenly believe that it weighs more heavily in googles ranking algorithm than it actually does.
