Thanks for sharing mate. Im glad it was helpful to you, thanks! Hmm...first of all, I will still recommend getting your domains from either eurodns.com or name.com (they have tons of TLD's). In addition, what is it that your asking? Are you asking me if its wrong to have the word game in the domain? If so, then no, its great to have the keyword in the domain, and it would be smart. I think I understand what your asking. A lot of sites have the word game in it, i mean, just search google and you'll see. Well, if I think of it hard, here's what I would say: Get a domain that has the word game in it. I dont know what you mean by gaming site, but if this is a forum, then make sure you have a word that means "talking" (like chat, talk, forum, etc) in the domain. If this is an arcade, make sure you have the word nick (as in nickelodeon the channel), arcade, loop, toon, or some other word that refers to an arcade ( a real life one, look up arcade on wikipedia, and use a word from there. If this is a site where you will sell games or tell people about games and write reviews and etc, make sure you have the word game, wire, loop, zen, rev, and etc. Hope that helps. Good luck!!
Yes that helps thanks! All though, it's gonna be hard to choose the right word after game since it's gonna be something very general...but I'll think about it and thanks again
I beg to differ on your second point on the long domain names with potential keywords. Although it may be too long to be remembered, most people nowadays use the bookmarking feature and this won't be a problem. This is because the average users have many regular websites to visit.
True enough that people WILL bookmark the site in that case, but you wont believe how many people dont use the bookmarking feature. I swear to my Allah, I myself started using the bookmarking feature only about 2 weeks ago after I downloaded firefox. I originally thought bookmarking was just referring to things like Digg and Technorati. Also, I have seen many sites with long domain names with keywords in them, but it just doesnt work well. People assume that having he keywords in the domain will get you in search results faster, but it doesnt happen. However, I am not god, so I dont really know, and in that sense, thanks for sharing your info.
