I usually spend about 2 hours a day marketing my 3 sites, but it's not all at once. 20 minutes here, 30 minutes there, etc. Basically, whenever I find time. But I spend much more time every day developing content. Thats more important to me right now.
It usually takes up most of my time when I'm not working or doing something else. Takes time to learn a lot.
Lets see 24 hours a day - 8 for sleep + 2 with coffee -3 for TV and I spend about 15 hours a day ... o joy.
I don't spend as much time as I used to, back in the day I was working for 10 hours a day during the holidays to get my websites up and running. Now I just do a couple of updates a month and I'm happy. Just to keep my google positions.
I spend up to 16 hours making and researching new products to sell. But as far as time spend on websites, after I create them I do some strategic promotion and pretty much leave them alone unless I notice a dramatic drop in traffic or sells. If you market your sites right you don't have to spend much time on them.
You bring up a point that I'm sure a lot of people would like answered: How do you 'market your sites right'? I wonder about people who have 100+ sites. I guess, like you, they've done their marketing right and don't have to manage them on a regular basis. But I, and I"m sure tons of other DP members, are trying to learn how to do that. Can you offer some advice? What types of sites do you have? Mini sites? e-stores?
