Hi guys, I have some .mobis coming up for renewal. They are... P-7 (dot) mobi Z-0 (dot) mobi Z-9 (dot) mobi 1-C (dot) mobi 1-D (dot) modi PD2 (dot) mobi Would you bother to renew these domains? At the moment I would say they are probably worth between reg fee and $20. I already have some other .mobis which are nicer and they are kind of expensive. What do you think? Do you think they might be worth something one day?
I don't really appraise domain names, but I personally don't see a whole lot of usage in them. I don't even think at one point in time that they may have any value, that's just my opinion, I'm not a professional nor domain appraiser, so you may want to wait for a few others to get around.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. In time they must go up in value due to the rarity of thee digit domains but the registration fees are going to kill any small profit you might make.
Well domains do not have to explain anything to be valuable. Three digit domains (even .mobi) are worth a certain amount based on LNL combinations etc but in these cases they are of small or little value.
Well, I don't think its as black and white as people are making out. p-7.com is asking for $120,000 http://marketplacepro.moniker.com/profile/property_id/17261275/?return=100001-250000.99/keyword/s:P Even if the .mobi is worth 1/10 of that in 10 years time then it would be worth holding onto.
yea bro he ask but that domain just worth 1 k in maximum.. i think some of them worth but not that much to renew,you better forget the renew of them (atleast will cost 30-40 ) and buy a cheap LLLL domain and resell it to other peoples with 1-$5 profit...in that way you can easily earn more
csi, .COM will always be more valuable than anything else including .NET. It is good that you are trying to acquire great domains. However If your purpose is to resell, personally I'd stick with only .COM. I'm the type of domain investor that only buys .COM names.
Personally, I would try to sell them before the expiry as I don't really see too much capital growth for L-N.mobi or N-L.mobi names.
Thanks for your advice guys. I'll probably keep one of them because I have an idea for developing it and let the rest slide.
By the time these names may worth something the renewal prices that you will pay for them an year after year will be probably much more...
I don't think the registration fees would justify any small amount of profit you might make. Also, I don't think .mobi will ever be very popular, at least not any time soon.
