So you're all for gas crapping bugs but you think oil shale development is unrealistic?

I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but when you criticize the gas crapping bugs, you really make me wonder how much you love this country.

I'm not criticizing them. To be honest I just wanted to type the phrase "gas crapping bugs".

Oil Shale and Tar Sands are two different things, and they are extremely energy-intensive to operate. Oil Shale actually gives less energy than is required to extract oil from it. Thats negative cashflow.

Just give it a thought... Matt Savinar on Coast to Coast with Art Bell MP3 file (5 MB)
I listened to it. Kinda scary... Please listen to it. A new perspective...

Extracting Oil from Tar Sands is basically a mining Operation + Processng it. It requires large amounts of Natural Gas to provide energy, and large amounts of Fresh water, unlike Oil, which just comes out of the grund in concentrated form.

And how much Tar sand is required to generate 1 barrel of oil?

    Now you know...
